Sakura Yakiniku Dinner

Dinner last night was in Sakura Yakiniku along Pasay Road. It's the nice Japanese restaurant under CD-R King.

We had actually wanted to eat there a week ago, but the parking was pretty full, so we ended up in Isshin instead. Last night, we were headed for Gyumon along Amorsolo Street, but seeing that there was an available slot in Sakura, made a beeline for it instead.

The restaurant had set meals, so Danny and I ordered the Original Ume Karubi set meal, composed of thinly sliced US Prime Rib Karubi beef, rice, soup, and appetizers for 2. The beansprouts and kimchi were the appetizer:

And the server also brought the sauces that we were to use for the yakiniku:

The food arrived quickly since we were supposed to grill the meat ourselves via the smokeless grill built into the table. The beef arrived, and we realized they had an ample amount of serving:

The Original Ume Karube set meal was PhP 998.00 good for two
We ordered additional Chicken Yakiniku to add variety to the dinner, and since we had worked up a mean appetite from the horrible traffic in Makati that night:

The Chicken Yakiniku was only PhP 189.00 per plate
Of course we ended up eating an extra bowl of rice! Danny and I enjoy Yakiniku restaurants. He especially loves to grill:

And while leafing through the menu, I found my favorite sashimi reasonably priced at PhP 160.00 so I could not resist but order a plate:

Uni is absolutely divine!

All in all our bill was PhP 1,543.51, which is roughly the same amount we would spend in Gyumon. It's a bit more compared to eating in Yakimix, but if you hate waiting to be seated, and want really prime-grade meat, then you really wouldn't talk so highly of Yakimix.

Will keep everyone posted of our next adventure!
